STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. (EGLE) on Thursday reported a loss of $142.4 million in its fourth quarter.
The Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had a loss of $2.96 per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 41 cents per share.
The shipping company posted revenue of $41.8 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $223.5 million, or $10.87 per share. Revenue was reported as $124.5 million.
Eagle Bulk Shipping shares have dropped 1 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $5.79, a fall of 61 percent in the last 12 months.
