Earn up to 26 Percent Cash Back on Valentine’s Day Gifts This Week

If you’ve been putting off Valentine’s Day shopping, this is your lucky week.

Ebates is offering double cash back at multiple retailers that specialize in flowers, jewelry or sweets. Florists are offering especially high percentages — from 20 to 26 percent cash back.

As of Tuesday morning, the Cupid-minded retailers participating in this promotion include:

  • 1-800-Flowers.com : 20 percent cash back

  • From You Flowers : 26 percent

  • FTD (florist) : 20 percent

  • Godiva Chocolatier : 8 percent

  • Jared The Galleria of Jewelry : 7 percent

  • Kay Jewelers : 7 percent

  • ProFlowers : 20 percent

  • See’s Candies : 8 percent

  • Zales : 6 percent

Other participating retailers include:

  • Groupon : 9 percent cash back

  • JCPenney : 6 percent

  • Kohl’s : 6 percent

  • LivingSocial : 6 percent

  • Macy’s : 6 percent

  • The Body Shop : 8 percent

Ebates is what’s known as a cash-back portal. So by doing your online shopping through Ebates, you’ll earn cash back — during this promotion and in the future — on purchases from any of more than 2,000 retailers that partner with Ebates.

I pocketed more than $100 in cash back last year.

How is that possible? It’s simple. Ebates receives a commission from retailers for referring online shoppers to those retailers’ websites. Then, Ebates shares that commission with shoppers.

It’s free to sign up for an Ebates account, and it’s free to use the portal.

While Ebates is among the oldest and best known cash-back portals, it’s not the only one. Others include MrRebates.com, Swagbucks.com and TopCashBack.com.

Even if you already have an Ebates account, you might want to check out other cash-back portals because different portals often offer different cash-back percentages for a given retailer.
