Electric Shock for Dirty Diesel

Janus Henderson teams in the UK react to the announcement that Britain is to ban the sale of all diesel and petrol cars and vans from 2040. Britain is the latest in a growing list of countries that have indicated their intention to stop selling vehicles powered only by internal combustion engines. France echoed this sentiment with a similar announcement earlier this month. The Netherlands and Norway signaled last year that they will stop selling vehicles driven solely by fossil fuels by 2025. Last month, Germany and India said they want to market only electric vehicles from 2030.
