FREMONT, Calif. (AP) _ Electronics for Imaging Inc. (EFII) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $3.8 million.
The Fremont, California-based company said it had net income of 8 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 50 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 53 cents per share.
The digital printing company posted revenue of $261.1 million in the period.
Electronics for Imaging shares have increased 15 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $34.06, a decrease of 29 percent in the last 12 months.
