The Challenge: War of the Worlds ' Bear Isn't Gunning for Nemesis Wes: 'Cheers to R.I.P. Paulie'

Paulie Calafiore is many things, but anyone who’s watched any of MTV’s The Challenge: Final Reckoning or its current season, The Challenge: War of the Worlds, (or season 18 of Big Brother, for that matter) would agree that “boring” isn’t one of them.

But, alas, that’s just how his latest Challenge rival, Stephen Bear, feels about him.

Despite declaring war on Wes Bergmann for throwing him into an elimination battle last week, Bear is determined to take out Paulie — and he’s rallying his fellow U.K. alliance to support him on that quest. Wes, he declares, is “too obvious.”

Of course, Bear’s current flame, Georgia Harrison, agrees, admitting she has no interest in facing Paulie and his partner, “Ninja” Natalie Duran, if she were to make it to the season finale. After all, they’ve been consistently winning challenges so far this season.

“I don’t want him in a final,” she says. “He needs to go.”

“Cheers to R.I.P. Paulie,” Bear says, toasting with fellow Brits Georgia, Ashley Cain, and Theo Campbell.

Bear explains his thought process further — and gives possibly the worst impression of Paulie anyone has ever seen — in the clip above.

“Even though I hate Wes, my biggest threat right now is Paulie and Ninja. All they do is keep winning,” he says, before raising his voice a few octaves. “Oh look at me, I’ve won again. Oh, I’ve one again…

“Boring!” he shouts, adding one last threat. “I’m after ya. I’m coming.”

The Challenge: War of the Worlds — the 33rd season of MTV’s long-running reality competition series — is having quite the renaissance season. In fact, the show is off to its best start in seven years! (The network, in general, is on a tear, boasting nine of the top 25 best-performing unscripted cable series, according to Nielsen. The Challenge sits at No. 5.)

The Challenge: War of the Worlds airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
