SAO PAULO (AP) _ Embraer SA (ERJ) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $18.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Sao Paulo-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 4 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 6 cents per share.
The plane and jet manufacturer posted revenue of $1.67 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $178.2 million, or 97 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $5.07 billion.
Embraer shares have fallen 11 percent since the beginning of the year.
