ALHAMBRA, Calif. (AP) _ Emcore Corp. (EMKR) on Tuesday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $5.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Alhambra, California-based company said it had a loss of 21 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 12 cents per share.
The maker of components for communications gear and solar panels posted revenue of $25.2 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $17.5 million, or 64 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $85.6 million.
The company's shares closed at $4.65. A year ago, they were trading at $7.40.
