Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse is making light of Tommy Lee allegedly getting kicked out of his New Orleans restaurant, Delmonico, earlier this week.

Lee, 56, took to Twitter Tuesday to complain about the lack of southern hospitality at Lagasse's eatery, claiming he was "aggressively asked to leave because I was upset about removing my hat."

The rocker added, "I removed it and they still came up to the table and gave me a hard time. Wtf dude?"

In response, Lagasse compared the attention his restaurant's dress code received to that of Popeyes' new chicken sandwich, which sparked a viral social media frenzy with fast-food rival, Chick-Fil-A.

"Hey @MrTommyLand @DelmonicoNOLA dress code is getting as much attention as @popeyeschicken spicy chicken sandwich," tweeted Lagasse, 59. adding the hashtags "chicken sandwich wars" and "dress code wars."

The Motley Crue drummer was dining with his new wife, Brittany Furlan, when they say they got the boot. The couple told TMZ in a video that a hostess asked Lee to remove his hat.

"So (Lee) was like 'Oh, what the (expletive)' and took it off and put it on his lap," Furlan explained. "And then this guy comes up to our table – we have no problem, the hat’s off, everything’s cool – and is like, 'Excuse me, I heard you use profanity.'"

According to Lee, the person told the couple they were "going to have to leave." The rocker continued, "I’m like, 'You know what, (expletive) you, we’re leaving.' "

His account differs from Delmonico's, which claims that it was Lee who opted to leave.

"Tommy Lee was kindly asked by our hostess to remove his hat after being brought to his table at Emeril’s Delmonico," the restaurant said in a statement to People and Page Six. "Tommy became aggravated, voicing his dissatisfaction with our policy and chose to leave after being asked by management to curb his profanity out of respect of our staff and guests."
