CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Jun 19, 2013) - EN Engineering (ENE), a portfolio company of CIVC Partners (CIVC), is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Eta Engineering Consultants (EEC).
ENE is a leading energy-focused professional services firm providing engineering, consulting, automation, and integrity management services to the natural gas, liquid petroleum and related industrial markets. ENE is unique in its ability to provide a full suite of distribution, transmission, automation, and integrity management services, which facilitates deep customer relationships and significant cross-selling opportunities. The company delivers its services through approximately 500 full-time employees. ENE is headquartered near Chicago in Warrenville, Illinois, with additional offices in Baltimore, Denver, and Kansas City.
EEC is a multi-disciplined engineering firm focused on providing industrial, process safety management, automation and manufacturing, and power and instrumentation system services nationwide. EEC serves a wide range of end-markets, including the petroleum, chemical, coal, and natural gas markets. The company delivers its services through over 100 full-time employees. EEC is headquartered near Catlettsburg, Kentucky, with additional offices in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.
EEC represents a highly complementary acquisition that enables ENE to augment its customer base, gain exposure to new end markets, and expand its geographic reach. Tom Ziegenfuss, CEO of ENE, said that "we are excited about the partnership at EEC and believe that the combination of the two organizations will result in attractive growth opportunities going forward. Joining with EEC's talented base of professionals will enable ENE to immediately offer a deeper and broader array of engineering services." With the addition of EEC, ENE has combined revenue of approximately $85 million and over 600 employees in seven locations nationwide. As part of the transaction, EEC's existing management team will remain in place and continue to maintain the existing customer relationships as well as drive growth with new customers. EEC will operate as a distinct operating unit within the broader ENE organization.
ENE continues to look for best-in-class engineering services companies that would expand its geographic footprint and service capabilities.
