Energizer plans job cuts

The maker of batteries, flashlights, and other related products finished a review of its proposed cost structure and operating model in an effort to save $175 mil-$200 mil. Energizer (ENR) did not announce how many jobs it planned to eliminate. The new operating model will also include changes to its manufacturing plants and reduce overhead spending. The company expects the plan to be carried out by Sept. 30, 2014. Shares rose 10.8% to 75.22.
