SHENZHEN, CHINA--(Marketwire - December 20, 2012) - New Energy Systems Group (NYSE MKT: NEWN) ("New Energy" or the "Company"), an original design manufacturer and distributor of Anytone® and MeePower® branded consumer backup power systems for mobile devices and solar related application products to service municipal power applications, today announced the results of its 2012 Annual General Meeting held in Shenzhen, China on December 16, 2012.
Shareholders approved the following proposals:
Election of Weihe Yu, Li Liu, Elan Yaish, and Shuxian Cui to the Company's Board of Directors effective immediately.
Ratification and approval of an amendment to the bylaws which has been approved by the Board of Directors.
Ratification of Goldman Kurland Mohidin, LLP as the Company's independent auditor for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2012.
