SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (AP) _ The Ensign Group Inc. (ENSG) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $27.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the San Juan Capistrano, California-based company said it had net income of 48 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 55 cents per share.
The provider of nursing and rehabilitative care services posted revenue of $600.5 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $599.6 million.
Ensign Group expects full-year earnings to be $2.15 to $2.21 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.27 billion to $2.3 billion.
Ensign Group shares have climbed almost 8% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $41.86, a rise of 12% in the last 12 months.
