Equinor to decide on Dogger Bank offshore wind project by May 2019
STAVANGER, Norway (Reuters) - Norway's Equinor (EQNR.OL) plans to decide before next May on whether to invest in Britain's Dogger Bank offshore wind project, a company executive said on Tuesday.
"We will be ready for the UK's contract for difference (CfD) auction next May, so, yes, it means that we'll have the final investment decision by then," Paal Eitrheim, Equinor's executive vice president in charge of renewable projects, told Reuters.
Equinor, formerly known as Statoil, plans to develop a 3.6 megawatt capacity offshore wind park in the middle of the North Sea together with British partner SSE (SSE.L).
