LEAWOOD, Kan. (AP) _ Euronet Worldwide Inc. (EEFT) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $68.2 million.
The Leawood, Kansas-based company said it had profit of $1.25 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.69 per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of $1.69 per share.
The electronic payments and transactions processor posted revenue of $691.9 million in the period, also meeting Street forecasts.
For the current quarter ending in October, Euronet Worldwide expects its per-share earnings to be $2.80.
Euronet Worldwide shares have climbed 62% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $165.36, a rise of 96% in the last 12 months.
