LEAWOOD, Kan. (AP) _ Euronet Worldwide Inc. (EEFT) on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings of $100.3 million.
The Leawood, Kansas-based company said it had profit of $1.80 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.61 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.60 per share.
The electronic payments and transactions processor posted revenue of $637.8 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $594.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Euronet Worldwide expects its per-share earnings to be $1.12.
Euronet Worldwide shares have risen 34 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 15 percent in the last 12 months.
