WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ Evans Bancorp Inc. (EVBN) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $6 million.

The Williamsville, New York-based bank said it had earnings of $1.11 per share.

The bank posted revenue of $23 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $21.2 million, surpassing Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $11.2 million, or $2.13 per share. Revenue was reported as $78 million.

Evans Bancorp shares have risen 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $30.33, a decrease of 21% in the last 12 months.
