On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had profit of 12 cents.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $11 million in the period.
Evolution Petroleum shares have increased almost 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $7.22, a fall of slightly more than 2 percent in the last 12 months.
