New Exacter Program Allows Electric Utilities to Attack Worst Performing Circuits With Predictive Data on Deteriorating Equipment

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - Dec 4, 2013) - Exacter, Inc announces a new program for electric utilities to attack worst performing circuits using proprietary field intelligence that identifies equipment in a deteriorated state. The new program includes 1) a health assessment survey using an integrated process featuring patented RF and ultrasonic technologies 2) Field verification of problems including a photograph of the deteriorating equipment on the structure 3) Report data showing GPS locations and pole numbers where deteriorated equipment is located 4) Analytic data showing maps and locations of problematic equipment in .PDF, .DOC, .XLS, Google Earth .KMZ and GIS-compatible .SHP formats. 5) In addition, a unique aspect of the program is a follow-up survey to show post-maintenance condition of the WPCs. Exacter surveys your worst performing circuits multiple times and provides a final report with pin-point precision. "Our multi-pass process is completed in a matter of weeks," states John Lauletta, CEO of Exacter, Inc. "We identify the location of equipment that is consistently arcing, leaking or tracking -- which are the most predictive signs of components in a deteriorated state. We then document the equipment with digital photography. Exacter data is immediately actionable!" Exacter has surveyed over 50 thousand circuit-miles for more than 100 different utilities. Their metrics and feedback from utility customers reveal that approximately 80% of what is uncovered could NOT be identified through visual inspection or IR camera methods. "Exacter uses patented technology and a process that integrates RF emission and ultrasonic identification methods to find deteriorated equipment," continues Lauletta. "The data we provide is true, conditions-based intelligence that identifies the most vulnerable components on the worst performing circuits at a utility. It's predictive information that allows utilities to take immediate action in making circuits more reliable." The Exacter Worst Performing Circuit Program is an opportunity for utilities to see how accurate and valuable the predictive, conditions-based data is, while making an immediate impact on the line quality of worst performing circuits. "With so many utilities beginning WPC programs in January, we wanted to present an opportunity to use Exacter predictive maintenance data, and offer a follow-up survey to measure the results after repairs have been made," states Exacter President Geoffrey Bibo. "The deliverable analytics will provide benchmark data that can be trended over time to show continuous improvement of the specific circuits surveyed."
