Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood has confirmed that Sienna Blake is going nowhere.
Upcoming episodes will see Sienna (Anna Passey) snatch the children on Maxine Minniver's wedding day, believing this is her only chance to outsmart Warren Fox and get them back.
Sienna is even prepared to turn her back on her boyfriend Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward) by leaving without him, wanting to put the kids first.
However, in a chat with Digital Spy, Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood hinted that the twins twist is just the beginning of an even bigger storyline to come.
Kirkwood explained: "Over the last year, we've seen a complete metamorphosis in Sienna. She has become a trainee teacher in the Laurie story and we've explored the grounded, real-life aspect of her character, which we hadn't done before.
"But then in Anna Passey, what we've got is an actress who is so adept at juggling different tones and still keeping Sienna as a truthful character.
"In the past 12 months, we wanted to take a breath from Sienna's search for children, but that remains one of the missing elements of her life. Sophie and Sebastian are out there and it felt time to revisit that.
"This chapter, with Sienna planning to take the twins she believes are her children, is the launchpad of another great year for Anna Passey."
Hollyoaks fans will see the wedding episodes next week, as one of the highlights of the Six Weeks of Summer storylines.
Sienna's storyline will be colliding with another big plot, as she discovers Maxine's lies over her illness ahead of the ceremony.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
