Neha Dhupia has turned host with the show #NoFilterNeha. In the podcast show, the former beauty queen has been interviewing several Bollywood celebs like Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and much more.
Recently, while in a chit-chat with 2 States author Chetan Bhagat, Neha asked him, “Sonam (Kapoor) just got named ‘Word to Screen Market’ ambassador for MAMI. How do you feel about it? One book association there and four book association with you. What are your thoughts on it?"
To which Chetan gave an instant reply, by saying, "Good for her that she became the ambassador but I remember reading an article where she had said “I want to do a session to encourage book adaptations. It is very funny that she said that look at Kai Po Che – it was not such a great book but it became a great movie and I am like Okay Sonam! That is some way to encourage books."
He further added, "You cannot make a good movie if the book is not good. It is impossible. Because the fundamental base story is what drives everything. You can make a bad movie from a good book but it is very hard to make a good movie from a bad book. That apart, it’s okay. That’s Sonam, I know her and I know she doesn’t have a filter. I don’t think she was thinking “Oh let me bring this book down” because she has launched one of my books. She has launched Revolution 20 20."
The Five Point Someone writer concluded his statement by saying, "We have been trying to see if she can work in one of my books but it hasn’t worked out so far.”
