TWST: Let's start with an overview of your coverage universe.

Mr. Nowinski: My coverage universe has evolved since the last time we spoke about six months ago. I've added a few names in the storage market as well as four names in the data center and hosting market. So my coverage universe now spans across the entire value chain in the storage market, ranging from software vendors like CommVault (CVLT); to component vendors like Seagate (STX), Western Digital (WDC) and Fusion-io (FIO); to networking vendors like Mellanox (MLNX), Emulex (ELX), QLogic (QLGC) and Brocade (BRCD); to system vendors such as EMC (EMC) and NetApp (NTAP); and then I also recently expanded coverage into the data center hosting market, which includes coverage of Rackspace (RAX), Equinix (EQIX) and a few others.

TWST: When we spoke at the beginning of the year, you were fairly bullish on the data storage and networking sector. What's your sentiment on that today?

Mr. Nowinski: My view of the storage spending environment at the start of 2013 was in fact very bullish. That view was based on the results from our CIO survey that we had conducted in December, where about 63% of CIOs had said they planned to increase spending on storage in 2013, ranking it as the second-highest spending priority.
