MENLO PARK, Calif. (AP) _ Exponent Inc. (EXPO) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $21.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Menlo Park, California-based company said it had net income of 41 cents.

The engineering and scientific consulting company posted revenue of $103.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $97.3 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $82.6 million, or $1.55 per share. Revenue was reported as $378.4 million.

Exponent shares have decreased slightly more than 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $87.88, an increase of 19% in the last 12 months.
