SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Extreme Networks Inc. (EXTR) on Friday reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $9.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 8 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and stock option expense, were 8 cents per share.
The maker of network infrastructure equipment posted revenue of $239.9 million in the period.
For the current quarter ending in January, Extreme Networks expects its per-share earnings to range from 6 cents to 13 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $239 million to $249 million for the fiscal second quarter.
Extreme Networks shares have declined 53 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 51 percent in the last 12 months.
