TORONTO (AP) _ Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. (FRFHF) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $672 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Toronto-based company said it had net income of $23.58. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $15.18 per share.
The financial services holding company posted revenue of $5.53 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $2 billion, or $69.79 per share. Revenue was reported as $21.53 billion.
Fairfax Financial Holdings shares have fallen 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $459.75, a fall of almost 5% in the last 12 months.
