Fargo named site for 2016 international agriculture conference; event features 400 scientists

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- An international agriculture conference is coming to Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., in 2016.

The Agricultural Biotechnology International Conference features experts from university and private industry to discuss research on growing healthy food for a world population.

The 2016 conference will be the 20th year of the event and is expected to attract about 400 top agriculture scientists from 68 countries.

Roger Reierson, CEO of Fargo-based AdFarm, one of the host organizations, says it's fitting to have the conference in one of the richest areas of agriculture in the world.
