Upgrade of Fastweb’s network inventory improves time-to-market agility and overall customer experience, playing a key role in Italian operator’s transformation journey

JERSEY CITY, N.J., May 11, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), a leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies, today announced that it has completed a modernization project with Fastweb that will enable the Italian telecoms operator to provide innovative new services at speed to its customers in the 5G and cloud era.

The completion of the project has allowed Fastweb to launch modernized mission-critical systems as part of a wider transformation program that is creating an open and dynamic IT infrastructure.

As part of the deal, Amdocs has upgraded Fastweb’s network inventory. Amdocs’ next-generation OSS (operations support systems) solutions have enabled Fastweb to improve operational performance and time-to-market agility while enhancing quality of service and the overall experience for its customers. A joint Fastweb-Amdocs Center of Excellence has also been established to ensure ongoing innovation and improvements.

“This has been an important project for us as it represents as essential element of our modernization and transformation journey,” said Gianpaolo Brandolini, Head of IT Solution Design and Delivery at Fastweb. “Crucially it will enable operational efficiencies and innovation for existing and emerging services, including 5G and Fastweb Cloud Services, for the benefit our customers.”

“As we accelerate our next generation, cloud-native network suite, we are excited to partner with Fastweb to enhance customer experience while driving efficiency improvements,” said Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy at Amdocs. “Over the last several years, Italy has been a strategic market for Amdocs, and partnering with Fastweb is an exciting opportunity to drive future innovation in the region.”
