IRVING, Texas (AP) _ FelCor Lodging Trust Inc. (FCH) on Wednesday reported a key measure of profitability in its second quarter. The results fell short of Wall Street expectations.
The Irving, Texas-based real estate investment trust said it had funds from operations of $36.7 million, or 26 cents per share, in the period.
The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for funds from operations of 29 cents per share.
Funds from operations is a closely watched measure in the REIT industry. It takes net income and adds back items such as depreciation and amortization.
The company said it had a loss of $8 million, or 6 cents per share.
The real estate investment trust posted revenue of $220.4 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $222.1 million.
The company's shares have dropped slightly more than 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 11 percent in the last 12 months.
