Dmitry Druzhinsky, Co-Founder and Owner of MatchPoint NYC, said Many Wall Street Notables were in Attendance for the Fundraiser
NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / May 13, 2015 / Dmitry Druzhinsky, the co-founder and owner of MatchPoint NYC, is very pleased to announce that the 5th Annual R Baby benefit helped to raise over $300,000 for the R Baby Foundation. The staff and members at MatchPoint NYC are exceptionally proud of this event, which featured both tennis pros and Wall Street notables facing off for a great cause.
The R Baby Foundation is the first and only not-for-profit organization uniquely focused on saving babies' lives through improving pediatric emergency care. To date, R Baby has raised over $8 million and is impacting and improving the healthcare of over 1 million children in the U.S. and abroad.
The Wall Street leaders in attendance included Jon Bader (Halcyon), Bruce Richards (Marathon), Rob Pohly (samlyn capital), Jeremy Mindich (Scopia Capital) and Dax Vlassis (Gates Capital). Bill Ackman, an American hedge fund manager, philanthropist and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management LP, also took part in the fundraiser.
Over the last few months, MatchPoint NYC has hosted many successful events. In January, politicians from Brooklyn and the Bronx, including Ruben Diaz, duked it out in a wall ball tournament held at MatchPoint NYC. MatchPoint is always thrilled to provide the venue for cause-driven fundraisers and events.
