'Breaking The Information Asymmetry'

What Is Happening? Capital Market Laboratories (CML) launched Stock Trading Machine, a technical analysis chart profit builder in which users can instantly view the result of technical conditions applied onto a stock chart.
What Does It Mean? “We want to create the collision of computation with drawing on a chart,” said Ophir Gottlieb, CEO, and co-founder at CML. “When people look at their charts and draw or pick technical indicators, they are simultaneously and instantaneously seeing the results of that thought process.”

What Is Trading Central?

What Is Happening? In today’s cost-centric world of zero-commission investing, most retail brokers are looking to do more for less, delivering actionable insights at a fraction of the cost. Helping brokers keep up with the massive wealth transfer and the younger generation of active investors is Trading Central, the fintech driving much of the analytics and data services at major online brokerages since 1999.
What Does It Mean? Trading Central started as a technical shop but has successfully expanded into fundamentals, news, sentiment, and economics. The firm recently honed in on AI-driven experiences via TC Market Buzz, a tool that derives meaningful insights from millions of news articles, web harvested content, social media feeds, and online blog posts.

'Sophisticated, But Intuitive'

What Is Happening? Alongside the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, investors sheltered at home searched for ways to maintain engagement with the outside world, thus fueling a rise in retail trading.
What Does It Mean? In light of the increased trading activity, the commission-free trading platform Stake honed in on enriching its user experience with advanced trading insights like analyst ratings, economic calendars, and more.

So Easy A Baby Can Do It

What Is Happening? Acorns, a mobile-focused financial wellness technology, announced an expansion of its ecosystem with Early, a tool to automatically invest in a child’s future.
What Does It Mean? With the addition of Early, Acorns is a holistic destination for saving and investing at any age. The funds invested through Early may be eligible for tax advantages and can be used for anything that benefits a child.

Don't Be A Wimp

What Is Happening? The Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) has slammed a bid to shorten equity market hours as being detrimental to end investors.
What Does It Mean? FESE argued that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for regulated markets in times of high volatility and traded volumes and that the current length of the trading day is already designed to serve investors.
