Missouri medical marijuana dispensaries could submit for a license conversion starting on Dec. 8, 2022. If approved, a medical marijuana dispensary's license is converted to a comprehensive marijuana dispensary license, allowing the sale of both medical and recreational products.

Ninety-seven percent of the state's medical marijuana dispensaries requested to convert their licenses, Cox said.

Throughout the day, more dispensaries in Springfield may be approved for recreational sale, as the Division of Cannabis Regulation works through all the requests. The division must approve or deny all requests submitted on Dec. 8, 2022 by Monday.
