BLUEFIELD, Va. (AP) _ First Community Bancshares Inc. (FCBC) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $9.1 million.
The Bluefield, Virginia-based bank said it had earnings of 54 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 55 cents per share.
The holding company for First Community Bank posted revenue of $31.3 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $29.3 million, exceeding Street forecasts.
First Community Bancshares shares have risen 11 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $31.88, a climb of 17 percent in the last 12 months.
