The First Creed II Trailer Is Finally Here
It's been three years since Creed, the Rocky spinoff starring Michael B. Jordan—perhaps the handsomest man alive—premiered in theaters. One whole Black Panther movie later, and Jordan is back from his villainous turn and once again a hero in Creed II, reprising his role as Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed—boxing royalty and ripped prince of Philly.
Directed by breakout indie filmmaker Steven Caple Jr., Creed II will dip deeper into the legacy of Adonis Creed. Following the events of the first film, he's now a popular, successful prizefighter who has fully embraced his famous name—but there's one fight he wants to take on that puts him at odds with his mentor, Rocky Balboa. A guy who they both have history with. The trailer plays coy as to who he's talking about, until it shows the guy in the ring, DRAGO emblazoned on his robe. That's right: Creed II is gonna pit Adonis against the son of Ivan Drago, the man who killed his dad in Rocky IV.
This is gonna be real good.
