First South posts 1Q profit

WASHINGTON (AP) _ First South Bancorp Inc. (FSBK) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $1.9 million.

The Washington-based bank said it had earnings of 20 cents per share.

The bank posted revenue of $12.9 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $12 million.

First South shares have risen 2 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $12.19, an increase of 46 percent in the last 12 months.
