BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- First US Bancshares, Inc. (FUSB) (the “Company”), the parent company of First US Bank (the “Bank”), today announced plans to transfer the Company’s indirect sales loan portfolio into the Bank from the Bank’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Acceptance Loan Company (“ALC”), effective January 1, 2020. In connection with the transfer, Chris Mitchell, currently the President and CEO of ALC, will become the Bank’s Senior Executive Vice President – Consumer Lending, with a focus on continued expansion of the indirect sales loan portfolio. Helen Thrash, currently a senior vice president for ALC, will replace Mr. Mitchell in the role of President and CEO of ALC, with a focus on continuing the success of ALC’s traditional consumer lending platforms.
