AOC, Sanders Say I Told You So, as Amazon, Facebook Come to NYC

Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders are taking a victory lap after Amazon.com Inc. and other technology giants leased millions of square feet of office space in New York City -- without the billions of dollars in government support that Amazon tried to negotiate earlier this year. Amazon signed a lease on Friday for 335,000 square feet in the Hudson Yards neighborhood, enough space for more than 1,500 workers.

The Best Way To Invest In The Energy Sector In 2020

A record number of energy companies filing for bankruptcy coupled with poor performance by the industry in 2019 has made it incredibly hard to find investments in the energy space that can be considered safe or promising. The industry's favorite benchmark, the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE), which tracks the price and yield performance of companies in the energy sector, has returned just 2.7% compared to the 24.2% produced by the S&P 500 year-to-date, easily one of the biggest laggards in the entire market.

Is Nokia Corporation (NOK) Going To Burn These Hedge Funds ?

A duo of the best tools are hedge fund and insider trading signals. We have shown that, historically, those who follow the best picks of the elite hedge fund managers can outclass the S&P 500 by a healthy amount (see the details here). Unlike the largest US hedge funds that are convinced Dow will soar past 40,000 or the world's most bearish hedge fund that's more convinced than ever that a crash is coming, our long-short investment strategy doesn't rely on bull or bear markets to deliver double digit returns.

Boeing faces $3.9M FAA fine for installing faulty parts on 737 jets

The Federal Aviation Administration has proposed fining Boeing $3.9 million for allegedly installing faulty components on approximately 133 737 jetliners. The FAA announced the proposed penalty in a news release, alleging Boeing didn't properly oversee its own suppliers to ensure they complied with safety regulations and Boeing's quality assurance system. The alleged failures by Boeing resulted in 737s being presented to the FAA for certification despite Boeing knowing that the jets weren't airworthy, the FAA states.

Whether it's a team-building day, a lunch or a boozy party with the management, compulsory happiness at work can be excruciating for some people. In a poll of 1000 workers, employee benefits consultancy Perkbox found that just over a quarter (27%) of respondents aren't keen on the idea of work Christmas parties, because they don't believe employees should be 'forced' into fun at the whims of their bosses. A third said they don't enjoy socialising with colleagues at festive bashes whatsoever and 30% said they find Christmas parties too intimidatingly cliquey.

Amazon is struggling to hold on to the pilots who ship your packages

Amazon's promise of one-day shipping has led it to increasingly rely on its own air cargo division, Amazon Air. The pilots don't work for Amazon directly, but are employed by the contractors Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) and Atlas Air. More than 200 cargo pilots who fly for ABX Air, which is a division of ATSG, cast a vote of “no confidence” against management's ability to resolve ongoing labor disputes, reported Reuters earlier this week.
