Cryptocurrency trading apps are a must for people who want to trade and monitor their crypto holdings anywhere at any time.

There are scores of apps available, making it difficult to decide which to download. In general, you want an app which is easy to use, has a high level of security, and offers access to a wide range of cryptocurrencies.

Some apps are mobile versions of popular exchanges, while others are provided by third parties and offer connectivity to several exchanges.

Here are five of the most popular cryptocurrency trading apps currently available.

Binance

The Binance app is a mobile version of one of the largest and most popular crypto exchanges in the world. It’s great for beginners because it’s simple, fast, and easy to use. The app lets you buy and sell crypto as well as view your trade history, open orders, and crypto holdings. There are also limit order, market order, and stop-limit functions for more experienced traders.

Binance has over 370 trading pairs and lets you add your favourite trading pairs to improve ease of access. A wide range of alternative cryptocurrencies can be traded on the exchange, and it recently introduced fiat capabilities – letting you buy coins with your credit card.

Binance is available for iOS and Android smartphones.

Coinbase

Coinbase is another popular crypto exchange which has high trading volume. It enables you to deposit fiat currency, buy and store coins, and withdraw coins into a hardware wallet such as a Trezor or Ledger Nano S.

The Coinbase mobile app, which works with iOS and Android devices, is simple and easy to use, making it another good choice for beginners. It offers investors the opportunity to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin via a credit card or by direct bank transfer. Payment methods can be saved for future use, which makes trading quicker and easier.

Coinbase is currently exploring support for a range of altcoins. At the end of 2018, it launched Coinbase Convert – a feature which lets retail users make direct crypto-to-crypto conversions.

KuCoin

Crypto exchange KuCoin is an easy-to-use platform that ranks in the top 25 exchanges in terms of volume. Known as “the people’s exchange”, it’s aimed at ordinary folk. Its native token, KuCoin Shares, operates like shares in a company, providing token holders with the opportunity to receive dividends.

KuCoin’s mobile app comes with a simple, intuitive interface. It offers basic trading services such as buying, selling, deposits, and withdrawals.

There are over 350 coins listed on the platform. It even pays NeoGAS for holding NEO on it, which very few exchanges do.

Changelly

The Changelly app, which is available via Google Play, lets you instantly swap one currency for another. It’s extremely simple to use and you don’t need to go through a lengthy identity verification process. You just transfer funds from your wallet, Changelly exchanges it at the best available rate and charges a 0.5% fee, and the app delivers the funds to the recipient wallet.

It’s a really convenient way to exchange crypto because you don’t need to wait for your deposit to clear. You can lock in your rate and then wait for the exchange to go through.

More than 140 cryptocurrencies are available for exchange through the platform. You can also buy crypto using your bank card.

Coinigy

If you’re after a more advanced crypto trading and portfolio management tool, Coinigy is a great choice. It’s a trading tool rather than an exchange and it lets you trade on more than 45 of the most popular crypto exchanges from one account. Available on both desktop and mobile, it offers 24/7 portfolio management, unlimited trading, high definition charting, and a range of technical analysis tools.

Coinigy is aimed at professionals and comes with a fee. Pro trader status costs $18.66 a month (when paid annually), while professional API access costs $99.99 per month.

The mobile app is available on both iOS and Android.
