Florida International players combine for a creative gender reveal for special teams coach's baby
The kick is up. And it’s a girl.
Florida International players got to get in on the fun of finding out the sex of the baby that special teams coach James Vollono and his wife Heather are expecting. Here’s how the gender reveal went down with kicker Jose Borregales getting to execute the revelation:
Looks like Team Vollono will be adding more bows this May!! These girls already have lots of older brothers! #teamvollono 🎀 pic.twitter.com/6yrVKFzpMa

The stunt happened as Florida International is prepping for the Bahamas Bowl against Toledo on Dec. 21. So not only do the Vollonos get to spend this Christmas preparing for the arrival of their baby girl, they get to head to the Bahamas in the days before the holiday. That’s not a terrible way to end 2018.
Congratulations to the Vollono family for both their daughter’s impending arrival and the creative way of announcing it. While gender reveal parties and videos can be trite, this one certainly wasn’t.
