THOMASVILLE, Ga. (AP) _ Flowers Foods Inc. (FLO) on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings of $65.9 million.
On a per-share basis, the Thomasville, Georgia-based company said it had profit of 31 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and restructuring costs, came to 32 cents per share.
The bakery goods company posted revenue of $1.26 billion in the period.
Flowers Foods expects full-year earnings in the range of 94 cents to $1.02 per share.
Flowers Foods shares have climbed 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $21.23, a drop of 2.5% in the last 12 months.
