LIVERMORE, Calif. (AP) _ FormFactor Inc. (FORM) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $6.9 million.
The Livermore, California-based company said it had net income of 9 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 21 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 19 cents per share.
The integrated circuits diagnostic company posted revenue of $138 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $134.8 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, FormFactor expects its per-share earnings to range from 18 cents to 24 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $137 million to $145 million for the fiscal third quarter.
FormFactor shares have climbed 19% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $16.78, an increase of 30% in the last 12 months.
