DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) _ Fortune Brands Home & Security Inc. (FBHS) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $105.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Deerfield, Illinois-based company said it had net income of 75 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 95 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 97 cents per share.
The maker of products for the home, like faucets, cabinets, windows and doors posted revenue of $1.46 billion in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.49 billion.
Fortune Brands Home & Security expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.53 to $3.63 per share.
Fortune Brands Home & Security shares have climbed 54% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $58.44, a climb of 25% in the last 12 months.
