Francesca's names new president

HOUSTON (AP) -- Women's accessories and clothing chain Francesca's Holdings Corp. said Monday that it has created a new position of president and appointed Neill Davis, chief financial officer at clothing chain The Men's Wearhouse Inc., to fill it.

Davis, a member of Francesca's board since 2007, was its first outside director and will join Francesca's on Aug. 6, the company said in a statement.

Men's Wearhouse said Diana Wilson, its chief accounting officer and an executive vice president like Davis, will serve as interim chief financial officer after Davis departs. In turn, Kelly Dilts, vice president of finance and accounting, will take on the role of chief accounting officer.

Francesca's also said it plans to appoint Marie Toulantis, former CEO of book seller Barnes & Noble Inc.'s online business, to join its board as an independent director and head of its audit committee. Francesca's co-founder Kyong Gill plans to retire, leaving the board, the company said.

Shares of Francesca's rose 44 cents to close at $27.45 on Monday before the personnel changes were announced.

Shares of Men's Wearhouse rose 17 cents to close at $28.31.

Both companies are based in Houston.
