Frankie Edgar will challenge champion Max Holloway for the featherweight title at UFC 222 on March 3 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. If Edgar wins, he’d become only the fifth fighter to hold a UFC belt in two weight classes, joining Randy Couture, B.J. Penn, Conor McGregor and Georges St-Pierre.
Yahoo Sports spoke to Edgar about the Holloway fight, and he explained why “MMA math” doesn’t work. He also talked about the possibility of brain trauma from fighting and the chip on his shoulder that comes from always being an underdog.
