‘Freaking cool.’ See a picture of a Florida cloud that looks just like an alligator

You’ve heard of alligators in a fire station, post office, even the mall.

But in the sky? Alligators don’t have wings.

Everglades Holiday Park posted a picture on its Facebook page over the weekend of a cloud in Florida that looked a lot like an apex predator.

“Alligator swimming in the sky at sunset in Immokalee” said the caption, with the photo credit going to Collier County woman Brenda Perino, who had originally showed it to her FB friends Oct. 14.

Sure enough: You can make out a snout, bulging eye, head and open jaw amid the orange-yellow haze.

‘Holy hell!’ Watch an alligator in Florida snatch a boy’s catch — and his fishing pole

Commenters appreciated the odd beauty of the sight:

“Amazing, Mother Nature telling us to be careful.”

“That’s bizarro!!”

“Freaking cool.”

Alligator vs. trash bin: Watch a brave man in Florida trap an unwanted visitor

Someone else apparently spotted the real thing in the flesh back in the day: “I’ve seen the same picture up close and personal,” added another commenter. “I grew up in Florida.”
