Free doughnuts, coffee and pizza: Here are your 2022 Election Day freebies and deals
The 2022 midterm elections are Tuesday and in an effort to get people to the polls, several business are offering deals and even free food and drinks to those who exercise their right to vote.
This midterm cycle, there are major races across the country in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, along with dozes of races for governorships and countless down-ballot offices and legislative propositions.
After submitting your vote, officials asking for patience as ballots are cast – full results may not be clear on election night.

Pizza to the Polls
Pizza. The unofficial national staple food of Election Day.
Pizza to the Polls, an organization that feeds voters at polling locations, started in 2016 after seeing reports of long lines at early voting sites.
The group “sent in delivery pizzas to feed the crowds,” according to its website. “The feedback was immediate and immense: it fortified hungry voters in line, cheered up beleaguered poll workers and gave people a way to help out their communities.”
In 2020, Pizza to the Polls delivered 70,000-plus pizzas to 3,000 polling sites across 48 states and raised $1.5 million from 30,000 donors, its website says.
Popeyes chicken sandwich
Popeyes is running a buy-one-get-one free deal on its famed chicken sandwich through National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day on Wednesday.
To get the free sammie, you must buy one chicken sandwich combo (classic or spicy) and get one free in either classic or spicy through the chain’s app or website.
This deal is only for mobile order pick-up and delivery and not available in Alaska or Hawaii.
Wawa's popular Free Coffee Tuesdays are back for Election Day for members of the chain's loyalty program.
Rewards members get any size hot or handcrafted iced coffee for free on the Wawa app.
The deal is available through Dec. 27.
Krispy Kreme free doughnuts
Krispy Kreme is giving out free doughnuts Tuesday.
"We are encouraging you to get out and vote by offering our most iconic Original Glazed doughnut for free in shop and drive-thru to all guests, the business posted on its website. "So, swing by a participating shop on the way to or from your polls on Election Day and add a little extra joy to your day!"

Deals at Wendy's
On Election Day, the Wendy's app has a limited-time $3 breakfast deal, which includes select croissants and seasoned potatoes through Nov. 20.
Lyft rides for voters
Lyft is offering discounted rides on Election Day.
According to its website, customers can use the code VOTE22 to get 50%, or up to$10, off when they use a Lyft rideshare, bikeshare or scooter Tuesday.
The offer is only valid while polls are open.
Uber rides for poll workers
Uber is offering poll workers free rides to and from the polls if they signed up through Power the Polls.
Poll workers who signed up through Power the Polls were expected to get an email with access to the voucher code last week, according to the website.
