SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2013) - Wowzer, the innovative recruitment platform that enables higher quality and more personal interactions between candidates and recruiters, today announced the first-ever video and mobile recruitment solution, WowzerMatch. This new product provides an entirely new career exploration experience based on the way people naturally communicate today: through visual content, shared with others near and far on mobile devices.
WowzerMatch balances the power of talent matching software with mobile video recruiting to provide companies and consumers a way to find their perfect job match by getting to know each other better. WowzerMatch allows mobile job seekers to:
- Discover new career opportunities by getting inspired by the company's mission.
- Get to know the people and culture that make up a company's team through photos and video.
- Search and browse anytime and anywhere.
- Share a profile and record a short introductory video to send to recruiters and hiring managers.
"Hiring is about people meeting people. However, the scale of Internet-enabled recruitment has devolved hiring into a keyword search game, where people are matched based only on the skills they've used in the past, rather than what excites them for the future. We at Wowzer believe that hiring great talent takes an understanding of each other's motivations and personalities, and we design our experiences to put the human connection back into recruitment," said Rodrigo Martinez, co-founder and CEO of Wowzer. "By bringing mobile and rich media together in WowzerMatch, we have created a revolutionary recruitment experience. Wowzer builds technology to bring recruitment back to people meeting people."
2012 research has revealed that seven out of 10 people search for jobs on their mobile devices. However, most company career sites are not optimized for mobile, and the mobile interfaces to popular job boards feature only text-based job descriptions. Since humans are visual creatures, and mobile devices are particularly well-suited for browsing visual content, the mobile job search and recruitment experience is long overdue for a visual upgrade.
According to research firm Bersin by Deloitte, roughly one-eighth of new hires leave the company within the first 12 months. Wowzer believes that job descriptions enhanced with a better understanding of the team culture and the corporate mission will allow job seekers to identify and focus on opportunities that better match their own professional personalities and aspirations. The expectation is that when jobseekers and employers have the ability to make better selections, companies will see higher quality-of-hire metrics and a reduction in early turnover.
WowzerMatch will be available later this year. For more information on WowzerMatch, visit www.wowzer.com/match.
