Tech market research firm Gartner (IT) said Q4 EPS rose 7% to 65 cents, missing by 3 cents. Revenue grew 10% to $520.7 mil vs. views for $521.2 mil. CFO Christopher Lafond said on a call with analysts that Gartner plans to shift 4 annual events and roughly $10 mil of revenue out of Q1. As a result, the company forecast EPS of 35-37 cents this quarter, well below consensus of 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters for 47 cents a share. Shares fell 8% early but recovered to a 6% loss for the day.
