GE, Safran, Nippon Carbon to form aircraft engine part JV, Nikkei reports

Nippon Carbon will set up a joint venture with General Electric (GE) and Safran that will manufacture silicon carbide composite materials for use in next-generation aircraft engines, reported The Nikkei. The JV will be capitalized at roughly 1B yen, with Nippon Carbon holding 50% and the others splitting the other half, the report noted.
