A Georgia man who was on the run with his 2-year-old son was caught in Florida on Wednesday, less than a day after he allegedly injured the mother of his son and killed her mom, stepfather, and sister.

Caesar Zamien Lamar Crockett Jr., 39, is reportedly still in a standoff with police on an interstate near Tampa, Florida, following a high-speed car chase with law enforcement Wednesday afternoon.

According to news station WRDW, Crockett and 2-year-old King Cane Crockett were spotted on Interstate 75, and reportedly fled at speeds up to 120 miles per hour while being tailed by Florida state troopers and Tampa police officers.

The chase came to an end when Crockett crashed on an exit ramp. The toddler, who had an AMBER alert issued for him, was handed over safely. However, Crockett is currently armed and in his vehicle with law enforcement surrounding him.

He was wanted for three counts of murder and one count of kidnapping following the killings and kidnappings on Tuesday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

Police say Crockett got into an altercation with the mother of his child, 30-year-old Jamila Augustine French, at around 9:20 p.m. at a residence in Macon, Georgia.

He allegedly pulled out a gun during the fight, shooting French and her relatives—her 67-year-old mother, her 69-year-old stepfather, and 47-year-old sister. According to police, Crockett then fled the scene with his son in black 2007 Pontiac G5.

Officers arrived at the scene to find French’s relatives dead and French injured. She was treated for the injuries and later released.
