The bank, based in Jasper, Indiana, said it had earnings of 60 cents per share.
The financial services holding company posted revenue of $52.8 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $45.2 million, exceeding Street forecasts.
German American Bancorp shares have climbed almost 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $29.64, a decrease of 13% in the last 12 months.
