German construction sector sees falling revenue on housing slump

BERLIN, Dec 6 (Reuters) - Revenue in the German construction sector is expected to fall in real terms by 5.3% this year and by 3% in 2024, driven by a downturn in residential construction, the ZDB industry association said on Wednesday.

The slump in residential construction is expected to reach -11% in 2023, accelerating to -13% in 2024, the ZDB added. (Reporting by Klaus Lauer, Writing by Rachel More, Editing by Linda Pasquini)
